Who’s with me on converting ordinary backyard into a romantic garden of your dreams? In this post I’m sharing my favorite backyard garden design and ideas that are just too beautiful to pass on.
A mindset change before the spring
April is just around the corner, I’ve started watching garden shows again.
It’s kinda a funny story: As a gardening enthusiast, I find myself less passionate about garden during the winter months.
I was no longer interested in watching my favorite gardening shows and youtube channels, nor interested in planning for next spring.
It scared me! I was so afraid that I was over gardening and have lost this amazing hobby I had so much fun with.
Interesting, immediately as the weather warms up, I turned right into a crazy gardener mode.
Walking around local nurseries, watching British garden shows, taking care of my plants – I cannot believe I came back to life again.
Dreamy garden space I cannot get enough of
While anxiously waiting for the seeds to sprout, flower to bloom, here’s some beautiful gardens I cannot soak myself in enough every day.
I hope they will make you excited about spring as well 🙂

An avid gardener residing in the Netherlands, I have created my own magical display of blooms… be it in spring… be it in summer. Passers-by delight in the floral displays. I would like to share the garden with your gardening enthusiasts. How can I achieve that? Thank you in advance.

Hi Marcel, If you have them on your social media, feel free to send me a link, and I’d be happy to include some of them on garden posts if it is a great fit for the topic! If you don’t have it on the public internet, you can also send me an email hydrangeatreehouse(at)gmail.com -> replace (at) with @

Me fascinan estos jardines llenos de enredaderas de Rosas, pero aquí donde yo vivo no encuentro esas maravillas, vivo en Quito Ecuador
No sé si es que aquí no se dan por el clima

I love all these pictures! I love when a garden encloses a space like a room, so magical!
also i completely relate to you about the summer hangover in fall and winter and feeling totally over it. but then spring rolls around what feels like an eternity later and suddenly i”m so excited to work on my garden and do it all over again!

Reminds me of how amazing of an architect God is in planning us, He knows we will grow weary if we only have one season-so He created the 4 seasons so we have something to look forward to-Praise God! Beautiful pictures-I am a beginning gardener so I appreciate these pictures very much-thank you for sharing

These are lovely gardens which remind me of the ‘old South’ sort of gardens I used to play in as a child. We had gardenias, sweet Autumn clematis, and Confederate jasmine vines, and the very air breathed of flowers, especially after the soft, warm rain showers that fell during the summer, leaving our world all lavender and silver and lemon as the sun was going down. I’d love to see more of this kind of beauty across our whole country; America deserves it, don’t you agree?
