In this post, I’m sharing one of my favorite interior style – coastal style. A seaside inspired interior style.
Coastal, beach, seaside… and home decor
As I shared in the first post of this series, modern farmhouse style was the first interior style that I was exposed to and fell in love with. Coastal style is the second style that fascinated me. Fresh and airy, it feels so relaxing and calming even just by looking at those spaces, no to mention physically being there. A lot of blue and navy, combined with natural materials such as seagrass, jute, and rattan, it is light, fresh, yet grounded with nature.
Although coastal interior style is perfect for summer, it can be versatile too. Adding some warmer tones and and layer some cozy textile, a cozy beach house right there!
Speaking of brand that does really well in coastal decor, Serena & Lily is a probably the most well-known home brand for coastal style. It is inspired by California coast, it is casual, relaxed and refined. In fact, the company is 30 miles north of my home, pass the Golden Gate Bridge. No wonder their style resonate so much with California casual.
While Serena & Lily can be quite pricey, Target has many affordable amazing coastal inspired home decors, especially their line Opal House.
Who doesn’t love a chic beach house?
Designing and decorate a beach house, then sharing with people is one of my hidden dreams(my hubby doesn’t know). While I don’t have a beach house to decorate yet, certainly a great alternative is to just soak in those beautiful coastal interior spaces:

I’m absolutely loving this coastal style series! Your choices are so on point and I’m definitely gonna take some inspiration from this to refresh my own living room. The way you’ve tied in the hydrangea flowers with the blues and whites is simply stunning. Thanks for sharing!
