Where this all began

Somehow, I’ve always found tinkering with things incredibly fun. I bought my first sewing machine shortly after starting my full-time job in San Francisco, and it quickly consumed ALL my free time. I’d sew in the mornings before commuting to work and then pick it up again after I got home—often working until midnight!

My passion for home and garden took off when my husband and I bought our first house in the heart of Silicon Valley – a cozy 2-bedroom home just under 1,000 square feet. Although it was well cared for, the house hadn’t been renovated in nearly 80 years. So, we decided to update it from top to bottom to make it beautiful and fit our needs. This became the spark that drove me to learn everything I could from designing functional spaces, decorating rooms and corners, to gardening.

I’m constantly learning about home, garden, and DIY from this amazing online community, and I’ve created this blog to document my journey. I hope it provides you with inspiration and helpful tips as you create a space that you love, too!
