9 Boho Chic Office Decor Ideas For Your Home Office
Office spaces are one of the most important places in our homes because we spend a lot of our hours here and productivity depends on the room’s mood. But, your office space doesn’t have to look boring. In this post, I will be showing you 9 different office decor to make your office space look boho chic.
What is boho design?
Boho design, short for “bohemian,” is a style of interior design that is inspired by the free-spirited, eclectic lifestyle of bohemians and hippies. It’s a mix of different cultures, patterns, and textures, with an emphasis on natural elements and handmade objects.
Boho design typically includes a variety of patterns, such as floral, geometric, and paisley, often layered together. Colors tend to be warm and earthy, with plenty of natural materials like wood, leather, and woven fabrics like macrame or rattan. There’s a focus on texture, too, with elements like tassels, fringes, and feathers adding depth and interest.
In terms of furniture, boho design often features vintage pieces, such as an antique wooden table or a colorful upholstered armchair. Plants are also a key element of boho design, bringing a touch of nature indoors and adding to the overall relaxed and welcoming vibe.
Overall, boho design is a style that embraces individuality and creativity, and encourages a mix-and-match approach to decor. It’s a great way to infuse your home with personality and a sense of fun.
9 Boho Office Decor Ideas
Idea #1. Pampas Grass or Dried Bunny Tail Grass
Pampas grass and dried bunny tail grass are both popular choices for home decor and floral arrangements.
Both pampas grass and dried bunny tail grass can add a natural, textured element to your boho office desk space. Pampas grass is better for creating a dramatic, statement piece, while dried bunny tail grass is great for adding a subtle touch of whimsy to a floral arrangement or small vase.
Idea #2. Boho Basket Wall Decor

Boho basket wall decor is a popular trend in bohemian-style home decor. It involves arranging a collection of woven baskets of different sizes, shapes, and colors on a wall to create a unique and eye-catching display.
To create a boho basket wall decor, you can follow these steps:
- Choose a wall: Select a blank wall in your home where you would like to display your boho basket collection. I recommend somewhere with a relatively large space to create the most impact.
- Collect baskets: Collect a variety of baskets in different sizes, shapes, and colors. You can use natural woven baskets, colorful or patterned baskets, or even painted baskets. Check out thrift stores for them if you are on a budget!
- Arrange baskets: Start by arranging the largest baskets first and then work your way down to the smaller ones. Play around with the arrangement until you find a design that you like. Consider using a mix of round, oval, and square baskets to add visual interest.
- Hang baskets: Use wall hooks or nails to secure the baskets to the wall.
- Finish the look: To complete the boho basket wall decor, you can add additional elements such as faux greenery or flowers, macrame hangers, or other wall decor items that complement the baskets.
Idea #3. Large wall hanging textile
A large wall hanging textile can make a big statement in a room and add warmth and texture to your home decor. There are many different types of framed textiles that can be used as wall hangings, including tapestries, woven rugs, quilts, and even large scarves or sarongs.
A large wall hanging textile or macrame wall hanging can add a unique and personal touch to your home decor. With the right size, style, and hanging method, it can transform a plain wall into a beautiful focal point.

Potted plants are a great way to bring natural beauty into your home or office. They not only add a decorative touch to a room, but also provide many benefits, such as improving air quality and reducing stress.
I love to mix small potted plants with large indoor trees to create an indoor garden feel.
Idea #5. Moroccan Rugs
Moroccan rugs are a popular choice in home decor. They are handmade by skilled artisans in Morocco using traditional weaving techniques that have been passed down through generations.
These rugs are known for their unique patterns, colors, and textures, and they can add a touch of warmth and coziness to any room. Plus there are many affordable options!
Idea #6. Gallery Wall
A gallery wall is a great way to add to your boho office wall decor where you can display a collection of artwork, photographs, or other decorative objects. It can be a focal point in a room and add a personal touch to your home decor.

Hello!
Beautiful decoration!
I was wondering where you find your woven seats (here what seems like a sofa and a smaller stool in the home office. I absolutely love that style of furniture. Please share if possible 🙂 . I have taken away some great ideas from your website and will be coming back.
Lovely ideas! We are planning to use your window seat design in my home office, then possibly adding your desk design as well. I work 9-10 hr days in that office, so I’m planning to buy a traditional office chair on rollers – any recommendations on floor protection that would be both practical and stylish?
Hi Stacy, you can try a low pile rug for your office where the rollers can still glide smoothly. If your floor cannot be covered by rug, make sure to buy roller chair that doesn’t damage hardwood floor – I got one from World Market that left marks on the floor and had to return it.
